Management Tip Response: Solve a Problem by Thinking About the Worst Possible Solution

      The main idea of this tip is to do the opposite of pretty much what we've always been taught to do when we are in a situation when we need to think of something. The article focuses on staring a brainstorming session by thinking of "The worst possible solution," first before doing anything else. By doing this you can only build up from there to make "the worst idea" better.      One thing we talked about in class is innovation. The idea of innovation is coming up with a new product, idea or method. Most of the time innovation can greatly help a business or company no matter the size. This was of thinking the article is stressing is very innovative.       We've been taught to develop the absolute best idea we can come up with first. If you do that you can't really build the ladder up any. This was of thinking allows for more input on an idea and as it grows and cannot be changed, it becomes the best possible idea.
